About ijen mount, Ijen is located in Banyuwangi regency, it’s famous with sun rise of java. The Fabled ijen plateau is vast volcanic region dominated by three cones of ijen (2368m), merapi(2800m) and raung (3332m). The turquoise lake in the Ijen Crater and the mystical world that the smoke creates around it attract tourists from all over the globe. The Ijen Crater is not only a major tourist attraction it is also a source of an important natural resource Sulfur.
One day the volcano produces around 60 tons of sulphur that is collected around 300 local people work here. The miners carry the sulfur rocks from the Crater down to the post in bamboo baskets; miner carries sulfur with load 60kg to 80kg. This is far from an easy task
Around the last of 2016 some miners made modification, they use push cart for carrying Sulphur , that only from the top to paltuding (name of parking area) from crater hole to the top of mount sulphur miners still use bamboo baskets
Now, some of sulphur miners one by one they learn English and they change their job in to local guide because it easier job. according sulphur miner’s information from 500 worker per day before – now only around 250 till 300 people per day now.
Besides sulfur, in ijen also contains natural gas. At night, the combination of heat and sulfur creates a magnificent, natural phenomenon referred to as blue fire.

The next destination is Teluk hijau (green bay) with its Cliffs and white sand beach. A trail leads 1 km from the road down to teluk hijau
There are two way to get green bay first having jungle tracking across jungle about 1 kilometers
And by boat from rajewesi beach
In our tour we will use traditional boat if the wives is not big, but if the wave is big we will walking 1 kilo meter to get green bay.
The best destination that we are going to visit is sukamade turtle-spawning ground its located in meru betiri national park, this place is most important turtle-spawning ground. Where five species of turtle come ashore to laying their eggs. Green turtle most common, but giant leatherbacks also visit (now almost every night we can find turtle in shore ). In the middle of jungle still many wild animal such as leopard, wild boars, monkeys, banteng, black giant squirrels, civets, reticulated pythons (the world’s longest snake) bird life is prolific, with Javanese eagle and large number of hornbills – including rhinoceros hornbill which emit a bark –like horn
Bromo is very popular with sunrise. The sunrise is the best one. it is surrounded by many towering mountains, and one of them is semeru – usually erupts every 15 – 25 minutes. And also many people called by smoky mountain because it is surrounded by much smoke

Day 1. from Bali to Ijen area (Banyuwangi city)
In this day you will travel from Bali to ijen area – Banyuwangi city , be patient it will need few hours arriving in Banyuwangi, If you are from Denpasar area, it needs around 5 hours. But, if you are from pemuteran it’s about 1.5 / 2 hours to Banyuwangi

After having meeting in ketapang harbor, we take you to home stay or hotel* belong to local people (sulfur miner in ijen) the home stay Close to local people, close to rice field, garden, river and they keep some animal such as: cows, chickens in around of their home. And also the use unsual bed, house and bath room, kitchen.
ketapang harbor to home stay around 1.5 hours, after arriving there if you still have time you can walk around in the village. At night dinner and go to bed

Note: transport from bali to banyuwangi there are two ways

Day 2. Ijen Blue Fire – Green bay – sukamade tour
We take you from hotel then we go to ijen crater at 01.00 am ( please check out from hotel first, because from ijen we will directly to sukamade, not come back to hotel) . and accompanied by local guide. The driver takes us to paltuding the name of parking area. From here you you walk up to the top of ijen. You will walk up around 90 minutes or 3 kilometer, after arriving in the top. You walk down to the sulfur source near from Crater Lake. Then you can enjoy blue fire and take photos. My suggestion don’t take long time to take photo or enjoy the blue fire, because if the thick smoke come to your eyes, it will make biting in the eyes. After finishing taking photos we directly walk up to the top of ijen mount and waiting for amazing few in top of ijen. Usually finishes around 8 am. and we have breakfast in ijen , so we should prepare breakfast box from hotel a day before,
The next destination is Teluk hijau (green bay) with its Cliffs and white sand beach. A trail leads 1 km from the road down to teluk hijau.
Ijen to green bay around 4 hour, after arriving in green bay area we will walk down 1 Km to white sand beach , we can enjoy nice beach by swimming, sun bathing
Go to Sukamade
After from green bay we drive to sukamade around 1.5 hour We across a river to Sukamade by 4-WD vehicle, When the river flow is too high and strong, we will cross the river with bamboo boat and walk around one hour to Sukamade, and across very bumpy road, and across cacao, coffee, rubber plantation
after arriving in sukamade mess pantai then we have break, around 7 PM we have dinner in small restaurant with very simple food, and get prepare for watching turtle at night
at 8 PM we will gather in ranger post to get some information about what we should and should not do during in the beach,
leaving to Sukamade beach with local rangers. In beach we can see turtles lay eggs One turtle can lay eggs around 100, local ranger visits the beach every night to check turtles come ashore. after from beach we can see small turtle rise from sand in cage , then it’s time for having rest, Tonight we will stay at the accommodation of Meru Betiri National Park.

Day 3,(release baby turtle in the beach – go to bromo)
Weak up at 6:00 then go to beach by carrying baby turtle and release them in beach. After finishing back to mess pantai and have breakfast then directly drive to cemoro lawang in bromo area, we will have lunch on the way to bromo, in bromo we will stay in hotel around bromo

Day 4 , Bromo tour – go to Surabaya
3.45 a.m. wake up! We took a 4.2 liter engine jeep to the Bromo lookout point called Mount Penanjakan. Very bumpy ride, the view point was not packed with tourists this time, so I told the jeep driver to take us to the touristy point, not to my usual secret place for my customers to take pictures without any other tourists blocking the view.
The sunrise was a good one. There were two perspectives, to the east the sun is rising over the horizon and to the west the breathtaking view of Mount Bromo, surrounded by many towering mountains, and one of them – Semeru – usually erupts every 15 – 25 minutes. On a clear day, the sunlight pours over the slopes of other mountains, highlighting the colorful scenery. I see Bromo several times a month and I enjoy the sounds of everyone getting excited. The sweet melodies of Javanese singing in their language and the eeewwwww’s and ahhhh’s building up as the sun rise got closer.
Back in the Jeep for another rocky ride to Bromo not too far away. When we got there I had to deal with all those horse masters who wanted the tourists to choose their horses for riding. In this place you may on horseback or just walk to stairs of Bromo.
Looking at the volcano this tour to Bromo was quite an easy one for us . We went back to the hotel to have breakfast, then go to surabaya
